Ingredients:

Aqua, Glycerin, Glycereth-18 Ethylhexanoate, Glycereth-18, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Titanium Dioxide, Triethanolamine, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Phosphoric Acid.

General information about acne

Acne is a skin disease prone to chronic course, frequent relapses and is often resistant to performed therapy. Acne is one of the most common diseases. Regardless of skin type and lifestyle, 80% of the population is affected by this disease, particularly in the age of 12-25 years.

There are four leading factors in the disease aetiology:

• follicular hyperkeratosis
• increased number of pyogenic bacteria
• change in sebum production and inflammation

These factors usually occur against the background of hormonal changes, genetic predisposition, seborrhoea, depression, obesity, etc.

Acne develops as a result of blockage of the follicle exit. Hyperkeratosis and the formation of a plug from keratin and sebum (micro-comedos) is the very beginning of the acne formation process. Enlargement of sebaceous gland and an increase in sebum production occur under the influence of hormonal stimulation, which leads to the formation of a closed or open comedo. Violation of the sebum outflow and a large number of dead cells creates conditions for the development of bacteria in the follicle producing toxins. Toxins in turn cause inflammation, which leads to inflammatory lesions (papules, pustules, cysts). Depending on individual characteristics, the inflammation can proceed very intensively and result in the subsequent formation of scars and hyperpigmentation.

Characteristics of the product:

Hydrogel inhibits the development of anaerobes Propionibacterium acnes, increases the supply of tissues with oxygen, inhibits the formation of sebum in the sebaceous glands. Due to the biocomplex composition, the gel targeted penetrates into the inflammatory foci, and therefore is an effective topical medicinal agent for acne treatment. SCHALI^® Anti-Acne hydrogel has an ability to normalize the keratinization process. Depending on the severity of acne, it can also be used for independent and comprehensive phototherapy.

Interaction with laser

SCHALI^® Anti-Acne hydrogel is designed for independent use, as well as for use with laser therapy, which in combination is a complete photodynamic therapy. This synergistic exposure accelerates the effect, stable remission after comprehensive therapy.

Brief technique

The technique is physiologic and safe; it does not damage the skin. The treatment procedure is painless and does not involve any post-procedural limitations and inconveniences. The treatment technique does not contradict the existing methods and, therefore, does not exclude the use of other cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.

Course of comprehensive therapy

1. Clean and dry the skin before the procedure.

2. After that treat the selected area with laser light, use the infrared (IR) spectrum laser to activate blood microcirculation, with a power of up to 2 J/cm².

3. Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area, and then wait 15-20 minutes until the product is absorbed into the skin. Then, treat the affected skin areas with laser, with a power of 5 J/cm².

4. After completion of the procedure, you can additionally apply gel

Laser phototherapy in combination with SCHALI^® Anti-Acne hydrogel effectively kills bacteria and relieves inflammation, thereby suppressing the main factors of the disease.

Recommendations

1. Procedures are recommended to be performed at least 2 times a week.

2. Including with extensive skin acne lesions (for example, the back area).

3. In the chronic course of the disease, a course of comprehensive therapy is recommended, using SCHALI-D4 product for normalizing the hormonal balance and metabolism in the body.

Laser acne therapy can be implemented as an independent technique. The use of a laser for the treatment of acne has already been used for a long time in cosmetic dermatology and has established itself as an effective method of controlling papulo-pustular formations.
